I attended the first webcast a couple of months ago and enjoyed the presentation by Kimani Tru's Glenda Howard, Executive Editor. I really enjoy reading the Kimani Tru books because young African-American readers can relate to the real-life situations that are described in each story. The books aren't too preachy or naive but instead are cautionary tales that teens today need.
If you cannot attend this live event, School Library Journal archives their webcasts for 1 calendar year.
